While installing XP on a new machine, I inadvertently
deleted the partition on a hard drive formated for FAT 32
and containing data.

Is there anyway of restoring the partion and/or
reclaiming/recovering the data????

Anyone with a solution gets a free dinner at the
restaurant of their choosing next time they are in Sedona.

Partition Magic MIGHT be able to recreate the partition with the
data intact. I don't know for sure

Stellar Phoenix software can get copies of files off a damamged drive
and put them on a good drive, so you can access them.

http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-recovery.htm

So can a program called R-Studio

http://www.r-tt.com/

Both these programs will recover data from a drive who's partition has
been damaged or deleted.

Paragon's Drive Backup is supposed to be able to undelelte delelted
patitions. I haven't tried it, so I can't say for sure

I advise you borrow or get another hard drive to temporarily use as
your Windows drive, while you recover the data.

You could also use the softwatre I mentioned and plug your hard drive
into another computer as a secondary drive to recover the data.
